Sr. Data Engineer

> Location: South SFO, CA (Hybrid Onsite role)

> Duration: 6+ Months

> Responsibilities

> · Work within the organization to understand needs, goals

> and objectives.

>

> · Develop secure, scalable, high-performance and reliabl

> data engineering and analytics solutions in a cloud platform such a

> AWS or Snowflake.

>

> · Solve challenging data integration problems for complicate

> and diverse data sets, utilizing and coding optimal ETL patterns

> frameworks, query techniques, and sourcing / merging from structure

> and unstructured data sources.

>

> · Design and develop data pipelines and cloud infrastructur

> components to support machine learning systems at scale.

>

> · Apply software engineering best practices to dat

> engineering such as source code versioning, CI/CD and automate

> testing.

>

> · Attend and participate in meetings with stakeholders, dat

> owners and project team members in order to gather requirements

> provide expertise and resolve issues in the context of a dat

> solutions project.

>

> · Collaborate with business owners, data engineers, dat

> scientists and IT service owners in a global shared service

> environment.

>

> Qualifications

>

> · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Compute

> Engineering, Information Systems, or related field with additiona

> experience

>

> · 4 - 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Softwar

> Engineer or in a similar role.

>

> · Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, Numpy, PySpark)

>

> · Highly experienced in developing using AWS cloud services

> such as, but not limited to, S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue, Lambda, MWAA

> DynamoDB, etc.

>

> · Experience with GitHub or GitLab.

>

> · Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, an

> building data pipelines

>

> · Ability to translate business needs to technica

> requirements.

>

> · Ability to plan, problem solve, and communicate precisel

> and thoroughly.

>

> Preferred Qualifications

>

> · Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science

> Computer Engineering, or related field and additional experience

>

> · Strong software/data engineering skills in complex

> multi-language systems

>

> · Experience developing and maintaining systems using ope

> source software

>

> · Knowledge and experience in analytics, data science

> machine learning and/or NLP.
